Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: email, password (hashed), display name, username, and general area (town-level — never your address).
• Content you post: listings, photos, trade proposals, and messages.
• Reports: if you report a listing or user, we keep the report.
• Waitlist emails: if you join our email list.

What we do with it

We use your information to run the platform: showing your listings to neighbors, delivering messages, sending notification emails (new proposals and messages), and keeping the community safe. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads.

What's public

Your profile (display name, username, area, bio, listings, and completed-trade count) is visible to anyone. Your email is never public. Messages are visible only to the two people in a trade conversation.

Who we share with

Service providers that run our infrastructure: Supabase (database, auth, photo storage), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data only to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and remove your listings anytime. To delete your account and its data, email hello@mountainbarter.com and we'll take care of it.
